  • Now residing in Australia, Russell gained wide ranging experience in Australia in Engineering and Management Consulting. He started Strategy Central Pty Ltd with a partner 5 years ago. The company now represents CMG and Neotec's Reservoir Modeling and Plant Optimization software here in Australia and New Zealand.

  • Currently Chairman of the Board of KTL Technologies Limited (ASX: KTL), a company with interests in Uranium and Strong Magnets.

  • At present, Russell is also the General Manager, Western Australia for Shedden Udhe (Australia) Pty Ltd.

  • 9 years in Asia Pacific with sound understanding of cultural and business practices of each country in the region.

  • Before moving to Australia, Russell headed up Asia Pacific Sales & Operations (Vice President) for Hyprotech, an international software company, with overall P&L responsibility. Grew business revenue and net profits by over 50% in one fiscal year.

  • Prior to this, was Business Manager, Kvaerner Engineering & Construction (E&C) - Oil & Gas / Hydrocarbons responsible for business development in Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.

  • Developed, negotiated and secured the contract for a world-record-breaking pipeline project.

  • Within 18 months of being on the job, achieved increases in sales revenue and profit margins in excess of 300% over the previous best year of operation for the Singapore office in it's 30 year history.

  • Introduced new markets and contracting strategies to Kvaerner's E&C office in Singapore which increased sales revenue and profitability.

  • Traveled extensively on business to the following countries: China, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Norway, USA and Brazil.

  • Member of the Kvaerner E&C global committee for Internet utilization.

  • Chairman / Team leader for safety reviews, HAZOPs, design reviews and proposal development for major projects.

  • Started up, owned and operated a profitable wine merchant business importing New Zealand wines into Singapore.

  • Worked on a variety of projects and proposals for Asia Pacific, Australasia, Africa, South America, Middle East and Europe.

  • Designed offshore and onshore oil & gas processing facilities, terminals, pipelines and industrial & municipal water treatment plants.

  • Refinery operations experience as the operations scheduler, planning analyst, loss control engineer and process engineer.
